DENTAL IMPLANTS
Dental implants are popular now in replacing missing teeth. The benefit is that the implanted tooth is much more secure than other options and it won’t endanger other teeth as well. We are pride in providing our patients with the best dental implants from Hiossen and Nobel Biocare.

Why implants?
They are very easy to place: it normally only takes an hour with local anesthesia. And because implants are actually fused with bone, they are strong, durable, and very reliable. They also prevent the future bone loss or gum recession .You won’t have restrictions with eating particular foods.

How are dental implants placed?
After careful review of your medical and dental history, we will take some x-rays and Dr. Wu will exam you clinically as well. We usually like to have the tooth extraction and the implant placement the same visit, so patients don’t have to go through a second surgery. And because Dr. Wu restores the implants himself, he will place the implants the way they would support the abutments and crowns the best in the future. We may place the crown the same visit as well, yet more often patients need to wait a few months after the procedure, the dental implant will begin to secure permanently. During this healing phase, you may wear a temporary tooth. When the gum and bone are ready, the new tooth, called a crown, is affixed to the protruding end, the abutment, of the implant. This new tooth becomes a part of your dental work as securely as your natural teeth and soon thereafter, you can resume normal dental activities.
